Although students admitted to Dalhousie's graduate programs in Psychology & Neuroscience are guarnateed multiple years of funding, they are also required to apply for scholarships. This is important for a few reasons. Firstly, our guarantee of funding is only sustainable if we don't actually have to pay everyone — and the more find that comes in through scholarships, the better we can fund all students. Secondly, schoalrship awards look very good on a CV. Indeed, an absence of any scholarships on a grad students CV by the time they graduate is a big red flag that they are either not a strong researcher, and/or not very proactive in seeking funding.
The Harmonized Scholarship Process allows for incoming and current students to apply for several Faculty of Graduate Studies-managed scholarships using a single online application, the complete list of which can be found on our .
