Lab Space and Resources

All equipment is property of Dalhousie University and managed by Aaron Newman. Students should obtain permission to use lab equipment prior to working with it, and will normally require some training from other lab staff. All equipment (especially EEG systems) has a limited lifespan, and so should be treated carefully according to established lab protocols. No use of equipment for research or any other purpose should occur without Aaron's explicit permission.

The lab is a professional work environment. When you are in the lab, is expected that you will act accordingly — especially when research participants are present.

In general, you should use the lab for lab-related work. Because there are so many projects going on and so many people involved, the lab is not a place to try to study, work on non-lab-related school work, hang out, chat with friends, etc.. Please use any of the many other spaces on campus for non-lab-related activities.
