Data

In general, data collected in NCIL or otherwise with Aaron Newman as principal investigator are property of the lab. How and where the data will be stored, and who will have access to the data, are specified in the REB protocols for each study we conduct. With few exceptions, research data should only be stored on lab computers, and not on trainees' personal computers, other physical locations (e.g., external hard drives), or cloud services like OneDrive, Dropbox, or Google Drive. These are not just guidelines; our research data is private information protected under the Privacy Act of Nova Scotia and other legislation. If you have need to store research data somewhere other than the lab, please consult with Aaron.
