Please also note that no one should ever be alone in the lab with a research participant. Always be sure to have another lab member present, or someone else you trust (e.g., a fellow student). This is for everyone's safety, in terms of both what could actually happen (e.g., physical or verbal assault), and what could be alleged to have happened after the fact.
